Love this movie. Saw it on Easter Sunday, 1969, and when the scene rolled with the people being blown up in the truck and its aftermath, people were running for the bathrooms. I just watched it the other day on Retro and was struck by how professionally done it was. May have had a low budget, but the acting was convincing, and the filming proficient.
One thing I noticed--the hero, who is a determined "take charge" black man--poo-poohs the idea of hiding in the basement. But when all hell breaks loose, that's exactly where he goes!

Great movie! One of my favorites! I try to watch it at least once a year, usually Halloween season.

Yeah but as I've always pointed out, there's a house full of zombies when that happens, but the ONLY one trying to get in is the little girl. If the others had joined her, how long would the door have actually held?

I play my DVD of this film every year during the Halloween season. It's a great movie.
